Créé à la fin des années 1960, dans un quartier du 15ᵉ arrondissement de Paris profondément marqué par son histoire industrielle, le Lycée Louis Armand est né à une époque où l’enseignement technique occupait une place nouvelle dans la société française. Depuis, il a accompagné les profondes évolutions des formations, des métiers et des technologies, tout en conservant une même ambition : donner aux jeunes les connaissances et les compétences pour comprendre leur époque et participer à ses évolutions.
Portant le nom de Louis Armand, ingénieur, résistant et figure majeure du développement scientifique et industriel français, notre établissement s’inscrit dans un héritage où la maîtrise des savoirs, la pratique et l’innovation sont indissociables.
Aujourd’hui, cet héritage s’exprime à travers des formations qui répondent aux grands enjeux contemporains : la transition énergétique, les systèmes numériques, la cybersécurité, la photographie et les métiers du tertiaire. Ces domaines ne demandent pas seulement des compétences techniques ; ils nécessitent de comprendre les enjeux, de concevoir, et d’imaginer des réponses nouvelles et adaptées aux transformations du monde contemporain.

Welcome to the Lycée polyvalent Louis Armand Paris
Founded in the late 1960s in a neighbourhood of Paris’s 15th arrondissement deeply shaped by its industrial history, the Lycée Louis Armand was established at a time when technical education was taking on a new role in French society. Since then, it has kept pace with the profound changes in education, careers and technology, whilst maintaining the same ambition: to equip young people with the knowledge and skills to understand the world they live in and play an active part in shaping its future.
Named after Louis Armand, an engineer, member of the Resistance and a leading figure in French scientific and industrial development, our institution is part of a legacy in which mastery of knowledge, practical application and innovation are inextricably linked.
Today, this legacy is reflected in our courses, which address the major challenges of our time: the energy transition, digital systems, cyber security, photography and the service sector. These fields require more than just technical skills; they demand an understanding of the issues at stake, as well as the ability to devise and imagine new solutions tailored to the transformations taking place in the modern world.
This dynamic relies above all on a committed educational community. Every day, the school’s staff draw on their expertise, their professional experience and their focus on each student’s individual journey to support pupils in their academic success and personal development.
